This is a tutorial for the Remy Reversible Cable Scarf pattern, designed by Anne Kuo Lukito. Pattern was published in the Fall 2009 issue of Knitscene Magazine and feature a different cable motif on each side of the scarf.
General
Which side is the RS and which is the WS?
It’s reversible! I doesn’t really matter, so long as you designate one side as the RS and one as the WS.
It looks hard. Do I have to do cables on both sides to get the dual motif?
No. All the cables are worked on one side. Note: see below for errata information.
How do I make it into a wrap?
Add more repeats! If you don’t want to do the math, here are some mods for a substantial wrap:
CO 130 sts and work in the following arrangement, where X denote the slipped stitch at the beginning of each row.
X – SidePanel – CenterPanel – SidePanel – CenterPanel – SidePanel – CenterPanel – SidePanel – X
Errata
It has been brought to my attention that there is a small charting error in the magazine. It’s really not that noticeable if you did work the chart with the error. The error just makes a more squat cable on the Side Panel and makes the pattern a little hard to memorize.
In the magazine, the chart has you working a cable for the Side Panels on Row 6. Instead, you should be working the cable on Row 7.
