Saturday evening was the big Ravelry party. Aubrey and I met up with Denise and Kristie at the MAX station and made our way to the forestry center. It was huge and the surrounding Oregonian trees were gorgeous.
Upon entering, we all got a goody bag made of organic cotton (awesome) filled with a skein of yarn from Berroco, a notepad from Lantern Moon, a bag from Namaste, some coupons and other promo items.
The large crowd was a little intimidating, and it only grew as the night progressed, but everyone was full of smiles if not a little weary. I mainly people watched, mingled a little, and spent some time talking to the girls of Gardiner Yarn Works – Chrissy and Donna, who were understandably exhausting from exhibiting, book signing and being a sponsor of the party.

And of course, being that I have a small bladder and always need to pee, I really appreciated this sign:
Below Left: The cash bar ran out of cold beers, so Kristie iced her beer and was trying to drink it all before it got watered down. Right: Aubrey took a self portrait of us. My hat received lots of compliments, which of course, made me happy, especially when one of the compliments came from Cirilia Rose (aka skrillaknits on Ravelry). 🙂
On the way back from the party, I decided to get a little artsy-fartsy with my photos and attempted to capture our reflection on the train. We also ran into Christine (aka JazzDiva on Ravelry).
